LOST-WAX
for
LOST-SPECIES

Abigail Burt

Lost-Wax for Lost-Species brings together over 100 artists and five independent founders to collectively make a Noah’s Ark of endangered species.

Each artist worked with natural modelling wax sent around the UK during the global pandemic, and came together through this creative act to raise awareness of endangered species.

In 2021 the diverse and lovingly made collection of bronze sculptures were shown at the Founders Hall, Barbican, and Vittoria Street Gallery, Birmingham. In 2022 They Went on tour to fishers court gallery, whilst the collection was auctioned online. We raised over £11,000 for conservation charities so far!

On 27th November 2022, the final Lost-Wax for Lost-Species event is taking place, at The Amersham arms, New Cross, London. There will be a fun live auction and a blind bid will take place for the final lost-wax for lost-species sculptures. You can blind bid online in advance here: Lost-Species Blind Bid online
